We love finding out a bit more about the companies that we use and the people that we work with - so we love that you are here finding out a bit more about us!
Mother of Merch is a re-brand from the original 'accidental business' that started back in 2017 whilst Lisa was on maternity leave.
We are primarily a family run business - which is how we started many moons ago. The one on the right, that's Lisa (she/her) - the founder and brain child of the business - and the craziest one on the team! She needed something to keep her busy whilst on maternity leave (because apparently a small child didn't do that!) She fell in love with crafting, which only ever started as a hobby, but shortly turned into a 'side hustle' when she returned to work.
But in 2024, the lightbulb moment came.
After attending so many events where the handouts and merch were exactly the same, Lisa decided that it was time to bring our creativity to the business world and change the way that we all look at merchandise.
Now, we love bringing our creativity and product knowledge to different businesses and showing them what amazing products are out there that can help showcase their amazing business.
Whether it is freebies to give away at events that your Ideal Client will want when talking to you (instead of people that just grab 200 pens and notebooks - really - what do they do with them!) to selling your own products to your community, we have something to suit everyone.
Lisa lives at home with her small human, fluffy puppy and husband. In her non-existent spare time, she loves to read and craft with her little one - she is secretly training him to take over the business as soon as he is ready!
But why should I do it?
Well, that is a fair enough question! Why should you change up your merch and be different to what everyone else is doing?
We have a few questions to answer your question though!
How many pens have you been given at events?
How many of those companies do you remember?
How many have ended up in 'that' kitchen drawer to never be seen again?
Now, don't get us wrong, we love a pen! (Stationery fiends right here!) But is a pen right for your business? Is it going to get you remembered - or is it going to end up in 'that' drawer?
We get it!
Before we re-branded, we handed out pens, business cards and flyers as well! It was what we had seen other people doing and thought it was the done thing.
But then we started giving people things that were relevant to us, memorable and useful to our Ideal Client - and the return was so much better - because there was one! We knew it was this change because people commented on what they were given - that they had used it, or that they had looked at it and remembered to reach out! And the rest, as they say, is history!
And in the business world we know that we need to stand out from the crowd to be noticed.
So, our last question to your question is - why wouldn't you want to be different?
So why Mother of Merch?
Hopefully you are getting our vibe by this point and seeing what we offer. But did you notice how we are different from other merchandise suppliers?
The best way to get merchandise as sexy as your business is to know your business and your audience - and that's where you are the expert! So, we NEED to work with YOU to achieve that.
We talk with you directly via our onboarding or discovery call and make suggestions based on what you tell us. You are involved in the decision process and we create the vision in your head (and come up with other ideas as well - we are enablers - you have been warned!)
We have the product knowledge; you have your business knowledge.
Put those two heads together and we are going to create something magical!

What is Important to us?
As a business, we believe that honesty, transparency, respect and integrity should be a given - so as much as we operate with these on a daily basis, they aren't part of our core values.
Diversity and Inclusion
As with the values listed above, this is one that should be a given with every business - but sadly, it isn't the case. So, we want to make it clear, from the very beginning, that this is important to us - and if it isn't for you - then neither are we.

Everyone can learn A LOT from people that have lived a different life than you - they have different lived experiences, different views and different ways of thinking - a different perspective is something we should all try and have to be the best at what we do.
Uniqueness and Creativity
Being creative is at the heart of everything that we do - and part of our creativity is being unique - so these are combined for our number 2!
We want to be creative with everything that we do, our processes, our products and your journey with us. That is why we start with a discovery call so that we can find out exactly what you want and how best we can work together. This way, your merchandise can be as unique as you and your business are and we get to create something just as amazing!
Relationship and passion led
We know the passion that we have for our business - so we guess you feel the same about yours! And because we want to build a relationship with you based on this, we have put them together as our third value.
We are here for the long haul and hope that you want the same thing. In order to do this, we need to focus on how best we can help you. Not only that, we want to enjoy what we do - and that comes from enjoying the relationships that we have with the people that we work with.
And we want you to enjoy the journey with us! As much as we start our business to pay the bills, there needs to be something more that keeps us going on the hard days - and we believe that relationships are a huge reason!
We bring our passion and love of what we do to everything - so your merchandise really is made with love (and sometimes blood, sweat and tears too!)
